I'm not sure the hours but you have to have a reservation and they are full for today. You can get it to go though. Totally worth it
yes, Royers Alamo Kitchen on Alamo street!
Incredibly good tasting things.
No reservations normally.
Agreed
Definitely call ahead to get a time so when you arrive you can be seated ....they turn the tables but lead time will delay the wait time....talking to Bud is also a treat..
Sundays at Noon is when they open! It's worth the wait from breakfast :)
Get the Shrimp BLT. So delish.Strawberry Rhubarb pie was perfect....my grandma would have loved it. Don't pass this place up.
Food was subpar. Place needs to be updated and cleaned. One of the staff stated Hispanics need to learn English. Plenty of other places to choose from.
It was ok... nothing special about the food... needs improvement... deserts are good.. very small place! If I go again be just to get dessert not the food!
The grilled shrimp salad was delicious and my husband enjoyed the chicken sandwich. The service was great and iced tea very refreshing. And we were able to resist temptations of pies!😊
The fried chicken was amazing! Bring your appetite. Great cozy small town cafe. The menu was very diverse with options like lamb and fried oysters but still maintaining great country food. The prices are a bit steep but how many times to you eat in a tourist area. Great country hospitality. Can't wait to revisit
Population 90 with some of the best food you will eat anywhere. And the greatest people. The Royer family and "family" is the best. There's not a bad item on the menu. Close your eyes and point...you can't go wrong.
We recently moved to Austin and had a fun Sunday visit to Round Top and had a good meal at Royers. The food was pretty good but their pies is where they shine. We ordered the fried chicken meal which was pretty good but nothing special for me. Their mashed potatoes however, were great. Mother ordered their steak salad and she loved it so there are definitely items on their menu that stand out. We were there with a group of 5 and we all had a different pie slice and none of us were disappointed. I ordered the strawberry rhubarb and it was incredible!
Always an amazing experience. The best food, the nicest people! We stop by every time we're in the area. Do yourself a favor and try it. My suggestion, eat the pie first!!
It's atmosphere and the pie. If you are in this area highly recommend a stop for pie. The place is unique and the service is fantastic. Menu won't disappoint but it's the pie you have to have.
the best food. the best possible humans.
Second time here. Food is great . Service excellent. An interesting experience with "community" table sharing . We've been lucky and the table with 2 nice families from North Carolina !
Best lemon blueberry pie in the world!
~HIGHLY RECOMMEND~Cutest little place with great food and excellent service (we had two full tables of coworkers during lunch- 16 people total- and the service was absolutely wonderful; they never missed a beat)! Lots of memorabilia hanging on the walls and ceiling, my tea never got under 3/4 of a glass full, Bud Burger was delicious and the pie... oh my! I don’t even like pie, but the sweet and salty is amazing! A coworker I was with tried their grilled pimento cheese sandwich; I will be back to try that! She said it was amazing! After lunch, you can take a walk in the small town square. There’s a little pie shop (owned by the sister of the guy who owns the restaurant, from what I understand) and several small art galleries. It’s perfect for a fall day and not too far of a drive from Houston.Thank you to the staff! For many of us, it was our first time at your establishment. Very much enjoyed it!! I’ll be back with friends next time!
If you’re coming from out of town, cancel all of your plans and come here instead. Incredible meal and the best pie I ever had. The atmosphere is really nice and the service was just the best. Thank you Anna!!
Delicious food and wonderful service.
Awesome little cozy restaurant. Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. Good is out of this world awesome.
Great Food right in the heart of downtown Round Top. Oh My Goodness (OMG), the pies are delicious and don't forget to top them with a scoop of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla which is made about 40 miles away. 😋😋😋 Enjoy, Bon Appetit
Amazing pie, great lunch, even though it was packed the service was fast friendly and I felt at home. A real gem of a place, we drove from College Station for coffee and pie, totally worth it, would do it again, love to bring friends here.
I love this cafe! Buds salad is sooo delicious. And the apple pie is the best!
Crispy fried chicken was marinated for 24 hours and the flavor was outstanding. Delicious, I actually found myself liking my fingers. Mashed potatoes are cream corn complemented quite nicely, but wait, that is not all. Steaming bread rolls with garlic butter and apple butter were a treat to the palate as well. And the pies, you ask? Well, there is a good reason why they are famous for pies, the best!!!!!!!
For the past 3 years, whenever I come to Texas, I always make sure I get to the Round Top Café. It is worth the 1 hour drive from the greater Houston area. The food is phenomenal! It’s down home good eating, yet fine and exquisite at the same time. Not only is the food greatbut the service just takes it over the top!! I love their jalapeño cheese grits and of course when it comes to dessert, you can never go wrong with anything from Royers!
It was the 1st time that I went to this place and it was a great time. I had the fish sandwich and it was delicious. A real homey place to go.
Good food and good service. Took a piece of pie home.
